Alleppey, Kanyakumari and Kochi Tour Overview
Tentative travel date 7 December 2024 for a 7 nights 8 days Kerala tour starting from Kochi and ending at Trivandrum. The itinerary covers hill station Munnar, wildlife destination Thekkady, backwaters and houseboat stay in Alleppey, coastal towns Varkala and Kovalam with a day trip to Kanyakumari. Package includes accommodation on twin sharing basis in the mentioned categories, continental breakfast at hotels, all meals on the houseboat, private air conditioned cab for transfers and sightseeing, experienced Hindi and English speaking driver, and special honeymoon inclusions on the houseboat. Vehicle offered is a sedan (Dzire/Etios/Amaze or similar).
Alleppey, Kanyakumari and Kochi Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Kochi Airport Railway Station or Bus Stand and transfer to Munnar. Travel by scenic road through lush green landscapes and stop to visit notable waterfalls en route. Visit Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls for views and photography. Continue to Munnar and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Full day sightseeing in Munnar visiting lakes, drives and gardens. Begin with Kundala Lake for boating and serene views, proceed to Echo Point to experience the natural echo phenomenon, then visit Mattupetty Dam which is a popular picnic spot with a lake. Explore Blossom Park for a peaceful stroll and visit a tea estate and coffee plantation to learn about tea making and sample local brews. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
Check out from the hotel in Munnar and drive to Thekkady, a well known wildlife destination. Upon arrival check in and freshen up. In the afternoon enjoy sightseeing in Thekkady including Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where a boat cruise on Periyar Lake is offered. Visit local spice plantations to learn about cultivation of spices such as cardamom pepper and vanilla. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4
Check out from the hotel in Thekkady and drive to Alleppey known for its backwaters and houseboats. On arrival board the houseboat and begin cruising through the serene backwaters viewing palm fringed canals paddy fields and village life. Enjoy traditional Kerala lunch evening tea snacks and other meals served on board during the cruise.
Day 5
After breakfast check out from the houseboat or hotel and proceed to Varkala. En route visit Jatayu Earth Centre and take a scenic cable car ride to view the worlds largest bird sculpture on Chadayamangalam Rock. Continue to Varkala a coastal town where cliffs meet the Arabian Sea and visit Varkala Beach known for water sports. Sightseeing in Varkala includes Janardhana Swami Temple Kappil Beach view Kappil Beach Anjengo Fort and the Light House. Overnight stay in Varkala.
Day 6
After breakfast depart for Kovalam. En route visit Jatayu Earth Centre again for a cable car ride and optional adventure activities like archery. Continue to Kovalam and check in to your hotel. Kovalam offers beachside relaxation and local sights with overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7
After breakfast proceed for a day trip to Kanyakumari located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. Visit major attractions including Padmanabhapuram Palace Suchithram Temple Devi Kanyakumari Temple Vivekananda Memorial Gandhidham and Trivenisagam. Enjoy the sunset in the evening and drive back to Kovalam for an overnight stay.
Day 8
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Trivandrum. The cab will drop you at Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Tour ends on arrival at the drop point.

Payments Terms
- Confirmation of tour package is subject to remittance of 50% of the total tour cost in advance prior to arrival and balance amount should be paid on arrival before check in at the first hotel. Booking can be confirmed by paying a token amount as informed by the trip advisor. Payment modes available include Cash deposit Google Pay PhonePe NEFT and swift transfer. For online credit card payment 2.5% extra will be charged on the amount transferred. Full refund of the advance will be initiated if the new hotel option is not convenient provided the client informs within one day. Cab details will be shared one day prior to arrival and the chauffeur will pick up from the arrival point.
