Alleppey, Kanyakumari and Kochi Tour Overview
8 Nights 9 Days Kerala package starting from Kochi. Tentative travel date 10th Dec 2025. The tour covers hill station Munnar with waterfalls and tea estates, wildlife at Thekkady with Periyar boat cruise and spice plantations, cultural and temple towns Madurai and Rameshwaram, southern tip Kanyakumari, beach destination Kovalam and a backwater houseboat experience in Alleppey. Accommodation is on twin sharing basis in deluxe category hotels and a traditional houseboat for the Alleppey segment. Private sedan vehicle and experienced Hindi English speaking driver provided. Pickup and drop at Kochi.
Alleppey, Kanyakumari and Kochi Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Kochi Airport Railway Station or Bus Stand and transfer to Munnar. Scenic drive through lush green landscapes with enroute visits to famous waterfalls. Stops include Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls for sightseeing and photography. Continue the journey to Munnar and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Full day sightseeing in and around Munnar. Visit Kundala Lake for boating and serene views, Echo Point for the natural echo phenomenon, Mattupetty Dam a popular picnic spot, Blossom Park for a peaceful stroll, and explore a tea estate and coffee plantation to learn about tea making and sample local brews. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3
Check out from the hotel in Munnar and drive to Thekkady, a famous wildlife destination. On arrival check in and freshen up. In the afternoon explore Thekkady with a visit to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where a boat cruise on Periyar Lake is arranged. Also visit spice plantations to learn about cultivation of spices such as cardamom pepper and vanilla. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4
After breakfast depart from Thekkady and drive to Madurai approximately 138 Km taking around 3 to 4 hours. In the evening enjoy a neighborhood touring voyage through Madurai, one of the oldest cities in India famed for the Meenakshi Temple and rich Tamil history and culture. Check in at the hotel for the night.
Day 5
After breakfast drive from Madurai to Rameshwaram a journey of around 3 to 4 hours covering approximately 172 Km. On arrival register at the hotel and spend the day touring Rameshwaram, visiting the famous temple and other attractions around this temple town. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6
After breakfast drive from Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari approximately 310 Km taking around 5 to 6 hours. On arrival register at the hotel and continue for nearby touring in the evening. Kanyakumari located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent offers attractions including Padmanbhapuram Place Devi Kanyakumari Temple Vivekananda Memorial Suchithram Temple Gandhidham and Trivenisagam. Enjoy the sunset in the evening.
Day 7
After breakfast drive from Kanyakumari to Kovalam approximately 90 Km taking around 2 to 3 hours. On arrival register at the hotel. Kovalam is one of the prime beach destinations in India. Enjoy evening beach viewing a fabulous sunset or swimming at Kovalam Beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8
After breakfast drive from Kovalam to Alleppey approximately 150 Km taking around 3 hours. Board a traditionally finished houseboat and set out on a captivating half day backwater cruise. While cruising view paddy fields local residents village homes old churches temples and coconut groves. Houseboat experience includes meals as per inclusions and cruising usually follows government regulations regarding timings.
Day 9
Tour ends today. After breakfast the executive will pick you up from Alleppey and drop you to Kochi Airport or Railway Station covering approximately 54 Km taking around 2 hours. Transfer concludes the tour and departures follow.
